Cannes Film Festival

This is apparently the theater where they hold the Cannes film festival. This is a film festival devoted to films that feature cans, i.e. The Jerk ("They hate the cans!"). Posted by Picasa

Our Inn Keeper

This was the lady that had the bed and breakfast we stayed in. Posted by Picasa

French Grand Canyon

On our three hour tour of Lavendar fields on our way back to the Autobahn, we went through Le Grande Canyon (literally The Grand Canyon). It wasn't much of a canyon (more of a gorge) and it wasn't really grand. The whole thing was about three miles long but the road was so twisty that the actual distance was 50 miles. Posted by Picasa

Lavendar Fields

The lavendar fields were so relaxing, the bees wouldn't even sting you. They would say "hey man, it's cool. we just need to get along". That is one laid back bee. Posted by Picasa

Lavendar Fields

The French Riveria is apparently famous for two things, nude beaches and lavendar fields. We took a short (read: three hour) detour on the way home to see these. Lavendar does NOT make you feel more alert when driving. Posted by Picasa

The most food I have ever seen

We stopped in a little French town for lunch on the way back. We were all tired and just wanted a bite. These guys apparently don't get too many visitors as they proceeded to serve us the most food I have ever seen. Posted by Picasa

The Wrights PCS

Our friends the Wrights moved back to the states a couple of months ago. This is a picture of their going away party. They are missed, especially since one house is out of rotation for survivor night. Posted by Picasa

Denver et misc

The Colorado Rockies mascot is named dinger. I am not making this up. Posted by Picasa

Take me out to the ballgame...

My friend Jason and I went to a baseball game while we were in Denver. We went on the tour and got to see the dugout as well as the luxury boxes. We also went to batting practice at which I had to face my "being hit by a baseball" fear that all started in tee-ball but that is another story. Here we are in the 7th inning stretch. You have to do it or you'll get the 8th inning cramp. Posted by Picasa

Indian Springs

With stunning customer testimonials like "This is way too hot" and "I want my money back", this natural hot springs promises to cure what ails you. I believe them too, because they charge as much as a doctor but they don't take insurance. It did get rid of that pesky rash though..... Posted by Picasa

On top of Mt Evans

Although the parking lot is over 14000 feet, I expended very little effort to get here. I was still a little out of breath though, with the altitude and all. Posted by Picasa

Heeereee Goateeeee......

Yep, that's clouds

Those are clouds out of the windshield of the car. I acted cool, but I was a little nervous. Posted by Picasa

Big Presentation

I had to present twice at this conference, once with Tammy and once alone. This picture was taken right before the "alone" presentation. Notice the stain from the glob of mashed potatoes that landed on my tie. A little strategic name tag placement and we're good to go! Posted by Picasa

Sunrise in Denver

Psyche! It's not really a sunrise, it's my camera flash reflecting off of the window. Posted by Picasa

Jane Goldberg's Going Away

To those of you who don't know, Jane was(and still technically is) my boss. She moved to back to California in June. She is greatly missed around the office. Posted by Picasa

The Other Odom's

Upon our first visit to our church here, it was exclaimed: "Hey, there are some other Odoms here!", to which I thought, "Great. We already have a reputation." The Odoms moved to San Antonio a few months back and are greatly missed. Posted by Picasa

Joe and Suzanne Visit

Lisa's cousins (and I guess mine, by marriage) visited us. After a culinary adventure in France, they settled right in to German Cuisine. We visited Burg Eltz, a 15th (read Old) century castle and also dined in a castle not far from here. Posted by Picasa
