Ah the Louvre. It is probably the greatest art collection on the face of the Earth. Which means that is the greatest collection of comedy props on the face of the Earth. As we shall see.....

Square feet monument on the right.

Jared "lending a hand"

"I'd have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you pesky kids!"

World's most famous deer head.

"I'll teach you to get outside of the fence!"

"I'm too sexy for my shirt..."

"I caught a fish this big"

Ancient Roman Gameshow "Wheel of Heads"

Ancient greek statue of Russel Reed (the guy who owns Russel's Market in Readyville)

Ceaser says "Talk to the Hand!"

Sunset in Paris!

It was very nice on Saturday afternoon in Paris. This is a picture across the Seine of the Louvre. Rod Stewart proposed to his girlfriend on top of the Eiffel tower about this time.

Karsten at the Hard Rock Cafe. I had to go and get a real Bar B Que sandwhich. Ta Ta and Uncle Z took him and fed him nachos here. We also joined the Hard Rock Cafe club.

Better make sure you catch a ceiling joist when you hang this puppy. This is inside the Louvre museum and was Napolean's aparmtment.

Ta Ta gives Karsten time out in Paris.

French pimp daddy style!

The clan in front of the Moulin Rouge.

This was the bulletin in the service for the Crown of Thorns. What wasn't in French was in Latin.

The actual Crown of Thorns (as advertised). We didn't know the service was happening. We noticed a crowd gathering and read the manual that we had to Notre Dame. It said that every Friday during Lent they would have a service and display the Crown. At the end of the service, they took everybody up row by row and let you kiss it.

The container that holds the Crown of Thorns in Notre Dame catedral.

Piece of the Cross that is housed in Notre Dame catedral.

Girl in the background says "Get a room!"

On the inside of the Arc de Triumph, there are the names of the people who died in the wars. Dubois was the my grandmothers mother's maiden name.

Jared, Danya, and Karsten on the Champs Elysees.

Ta Ta and Karsten in the Metro

The whole clan!

Me threatening Karsten.

Karsten chasing the birds.

Lisa and I being romantic in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Karsten doing the airplane thing.

This is how deep the snow was.

Hope these horses didn't have any Beefarino!

This was the "Karsten Restraining System" or KRS. We wrapped Jared's belt around him. If you were quick enough, you could keep him from hitting the ground if he slipped.

This is all of us in Rothenburg. You may remember that we went to a Christmas market here. We randomly ran into the song leader from our church while we were here.

This is crossing over into Austria from Germany on the road that goes by the Plansee. This is a "backroad". The snow was actually half way up the sign and this is not camera tricks. This was one of those moments when everybody nervously laughed and secretly wanted to turn around.

View of Ettal Monestary. Monks live here and make beer apparently. Our German teacher grew up here as a boy in boarding school.

Jared, Danya, and Karsten in front of a church. We ate lunch here (at the cafe next to the church) also.

Fly on at the base of the drain in a urinal. Every now and then in Germany, they have little "cartoons" in the urinals to teach kids where to aim. I have seen a fly and a candle so far. It is dangerous to chronical these.

Jared, Karsten, and me headed back to the car.

Jared, Danya and Karsten in front of the frozen lake. Kids were playing hockey on the lake.

Me with Karsten not long after we picked them up from the airport. This is outside Munich where we ate lunch.

Karsten on the plane ride over the ocean. He looks to be doing okay at this point.

Karsten meets the giant nutcracker, or the Sgt at Arms of the city.

In the most random chance meeting of the batch, Lisa meets Laura Bush. She (Laura Bush) came to Ramstein. This picture was also in a half page, full color spread in the German newspaper.

Hall ceiling of my youth comes down. Mom and dad are remodeling the hall. I got them a digital camera for a combination of birthdays, etc so they are chronicaling the experienc.

Interesting juxtaposition of cars, don't you think?

The Amsterdam short bus.
