I had to present twice at this conference, once with Tammy and once alone. This picture was taken right before the "alone" presentation. Notice the stain from the glob of mashed potatoes that landed on my tie. A little strategic name tag placement and we're good to go!
To those of you who don't know, Jane was(and still technically is) my boss. She moved to back to California in June. She is greatly missed around the office.
Upon our first visit to our church here, it was exclaimed: "Hey, there are some other Odoms here!", to which I thought, "Great. We already have a reputation." The Odoms moved to San Antonio a few months back and are greatly missed.
Lisa's cousins (and I guess mine, by marriage) visited us. After a culinary adventure in France, they settled right in to German Cuisine. We visited Burg Eltz, a 15th (read Old) century castle and also dined in a castle not far from here.
Sara and Craig White were kind enough to come and visit us. I had some work to do outside of London so I didn't get to spend the whole time with them but Lisa did. Enjoy!
Here are Craig and Sara in the famous Globe Theatre. I think one of Shakespeare's greatest comemdies is that you have to pay to go in, even though there is not a play going on.
In the tube they have chocolate machines so that you can "get your fix". None of them wore working when we were there unfortunately. Domestic violence was up 10%.
You see and hear this phrase a lot in London. It means "Don't fall in the hole between the train and the platform." But that would take too long to say.
There was an ongoing theme to the trip, we kept finding single glove's everywhere. It was much like having one sock when you get done with the laundry, except these were gloves and we found them on the street. I think we were on Michael Jackson's trail.
