I catch the rains down in Africa

Since we were in Spain over the weekend and you can literally throw a rock (really hard) and hit Africa from there, we decided to go. This was our first trip to Africa. Nice place to visit.

Ride, Sally Ride

We stopped for the stereotypical camel ride. It is harder than it looks, folks. On Wednesdays (humpday), they give two for one rides.

Keep in mind that this was in the center of a very large city.

Tangiers Market

Here are some pictures from the actual market, the Super Wal-Mart of Tangiers if you will. They had everything including some things I never knew you could buy/eat. Onions were a big seller, along with old remote controls and door hinges.

Directions

Tangiers was a really, really easy place to get lost in. Everyone was really friendly, especially when trying to sell you something. Lisa bought some (toy) camels and I bought a toy from some kids.

Moroccan Grub

On our tour, lunch was included. We were treated to a giant bowl of stuff that some people didn't like but I didn't mind. Wash it all down with Moroccan Coca-Cola.

Moroccan Jam Band

When these guys found out that we were from Tennessee, they asked us to jam with them. They didn't know that we could only play the jug and washboard.

Stopsigns are the same shape an color all over the world and they mostly say STOP as in the US and Europe. In Turkey, the say DUR. In Morocco, they say squiggle. It is easy to communicate because the squiggle looks like a sled stoppng and throwing passengers and their belongings forward.
